FAQ’s Candidates

We acknowledge all applications via e-mail, if we think that you are suitable for the role then we will contact you to discuss the role within 2 working days. If we have not contacted you by then it could be that we felt you were unsuitable for the role or that we have not received your CV.

No NEVER! We only present your details to a client after we have spoken to you about the vacancy, the company and received your permission to do so.

This could be for any number of reasons. Sometimes clients are specific about industry sector experience. For example, they might have told us that they only want to see candidates with a certain amount of experience. It could also be based on the information we hold on you, whereby we don’t think that you would be interested in the role. For example, if you told us that you were looking for a minimum of £45,000 and the vacancy is paying £28,000. If in doubt then please call and we can double check. Rest assured if AASK Recruitment can put you forward for a position, we will do so!

Of course! You can apply and be put forward for as many roles as we consider you suitable for. If you get an offer from more than one client, then the decision will be yours as to which one you accept.

When applying for a job opportunity through an agency it enables your details to be passed to a consultant that will actively search on your behalf jobs that your skillset is suitable for which will save you time with your own job search. They can also offer you advise and suggest other opportunities that you may not of come across as they are dealing with job searches every day therefore often first to know about jobs that arise in the market.

Best practise is to research the company to find out their history and cultural values. Revisit the job description and prepare questions relating to the role. Ensure that in the interview you highlight your skillset by providing examples of where you have carried out the skills in previous roles that is relevant to the role you are interviewing for.
